Great honor for Alexander Rasch, Justus Haucap and Joel Stiebale. The article "How Mergers Affect Innovation: Theory and Evidence" was awarded the Antitrust Writing Award by Concurrences Review.

Prof. Dr. Paul Heidhues is member of the European Advisory Group on Competition Policy (EAGCP) since June 15, 2020. EAGCP advises the GD Competition of the European Commission and supports it with knowledge and insights to competition (policy).

With the beginning of the winter term 2020/2021, the new master course Economics will be launched. Participants enjoy a mainly quantitative and applied approach in the master which is solely taught in English. Graduates will be able to overtake challenging tasks and join research institutes, international organizations, minstries, corporations or economic consultings.

With Dr. Simon Martin (previously University of Vienna), Dr. Tomasz Sulka (previously University of Edinburgh) and Apoorva Gupta (previously University of Nottingham) the DICE team will be joined by three new post-docs. We also welcome five new PhD students at DICE: Alisa Frey, Mengxi Zhang, Alexandra Gibbon, Dennis Gottschlich and David Zeimentz. A total of 11 post-docs and 37 doctoral students are working at DICE.
